“I’ve learned that success looks different for everyone, and there should never be a one-size-fits-all when it comes to measuring growth, both in fitness and life.”
Tell us about your early roots in your practice of choice.
I first started out as “floor instructor” at the Ridgewood, Queens YMCA while studying Exercise Science & Cardiac Rehab. Once I received my certification as a Group Exercise Instructor & Personal Trainer, I began teaching bootcamp style and cycling classes throughout NYC. Now as a Lead Instructor at Rise, my wellness journey continues!
What inspires you in your practice?
I’m inspired by living a full, healthy life both mentally and physically. I know that once I’m able to do this for myself, I’m better able to positively impact as many lives as possible in a similar way.
What are valuable lessons learned from your training?
I’ve learned that success looks different for everyone, and there should never be a one-size-fits- all when it comes to measuring growth, both in fitness and life.

What does social wellness mean to you?
Social wellness is about cultivating and nurturing relationships with “the tribe,” the group of people who consistently show up at the same space at the same time. One of my Rise highlights was teaching the PRIDE TURF class, which combined two of the most important aspects of my life: equality and fitness. Watching Rise members unite under a common goal through fitness really touched me.
