“Through my practice, I’ve learned the importance of balance -- not just physical balance, but the mental balance that helps me distinguish between when to push myself harder or when to let go.”
Tell us about your early roots in your practice of choice.
I first started practicing Pilates in college after going through major reconstructive surgery to repair a torn meniscus. While the rest of my classmates were able to continue practicing ballet, I was limited to the practice of Pilates during my recovery period. It was frustrating at first, but I ended up gaining incredible strength & balance from Pilates that only deepened my understanding of my dance practice in general.
What inspires you in your practice?
I’m inspired by tethering dance and Pilates, in a way that allows one to strengthen and complement the other. I love transferring the knowledge and feelings that are born from my dance practice to my Pilates practice, and vice versa.
What are valuable lessons learned from your training?
Through my practice, I’ve learned the importance of balance — not just physical balance, but the mental balance that helps me distinguish between when to push myself harder or when to let go.

What does social wellness mean to you?
Social wellness starts with self love that expands to others and find its way back to you. My favorite Rise moment so far was running into two clients at the grocery store. They had only taken my class twice, but related to me what an impact it had on them and their bodies. I loved this moment because it illustrated how my own joy in my craft flows from within me to our members and finds its way back to me.
