Tell us about your early roots in your practice of choice.
When I first started barre in December 2016, I remember struggling to hold the basic plank series and mouthing to my friend, “Wow, this is so hard!” The initial challenge created a fire in me to get better, stronger, leaner. Before I knew it, I was hooked.
What inspires you in your practice?
What inspires me most in my practice is seeing the same clients come week after week to strengthen their practice. It motivates me to stay on this path of holistic nutrition and fitness coaching because of the joy I get from helping others help themselves.
What are valuable lessons learned from your training?
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned from practicing barre is that we can always strive to be better, in all aspects of our lives. Barre is a practice that is constantly and consistently challenging, to the point where you can never truly “master” it, rather the journey continues to evolve in different ways as you get better. I see my class as a window to show others that they can always strive to be better, as long as they put in the effort.

What does social wellness mean to you?
Social wellness means being connected to a like-minded community where everyone works together to be the best individual versions of themselves. My favorite part of Rise is the community -- staff and members alike. Everyone is so welcoming and truly happy to be here, which is infectious.
